New Year's Resolutions 2015

It's the end of another year and I am notoriously inconsistent with resolutions. Yet again, I am making a list of aims for the upcoming year. However, this year I'm adamant that I'm not going to fail, and have set what I believe are rather realistic goals.

1. Write more.
Writing is one of the things I enjoy the most. Therefore, it makes sense to do as much writing as I can over the next year, be it articles or creative pieces. I'm currently writing journalistic posts for two websites and hope to up this in 2015. Restarting this blog - that I abandoned many months ago - should also help with this aim.

2. Read 40+ books.
Over the past few years, I've sadly fallen out of the habit of reading, despite it being my favourite hobby growing up. I'm determined to get back into it.  My Kindle has been loaded with numerous intriguing reads and I've already made a start on them. I will be keeping on top of my reading targets on the Goodreads website so I have no excuses.
3. Finish second year of university with merit.
I'm currently inbetween semesters 1 and 2 of my second year in a French, Journalism and Creative Writing degree and enjoying it immensely. I finished first year with a merit, and I'd love to match that this year. The workload has increased immensely between the two years, but I feel as if I have been working harder to cope with the jump, and hopefully I'll achieve a decent grade.
4. Get organised.
This links in to no.3. I'm ridiculously messy and unorganised in almost every aspect of my life. I'm that person who panickedly sends messages to my friends asking when assignments are due - it's time for that to change. I've invested in a good diary for next year to keep on top of deadlines and dates, and this is the resolution I hope/need to stick to the most!
5. Take more photos.
I'm awful for not taking any photos when I'm out and relying on the ones that my friends have taken to remember events. My excuse is that my phone's camera is of horrible quality, so I'll try to start taking my own camera out with me. My photos on my computer are all in folders sorted by date and backed up as looking through old photos is one of my favourite things. I'll be thankful in a few years if I take more photos now of things I'm getting up to.
Happy New Year to you all, and good luck with sticking to your resolutions!
